Announcing Quetzali June

Kellen writes: 8 lbs 20 oz, 5:56 a.m. Mommy is safe and sound too. We love you all. Lisa notes: Per Kellen, Quetzali means "treasure" or "precious one" in Mayan.

Black Forrest, Colorado is on fire

Lisa's mom writes: Black Forrest is on fire along with Royal Gorge. I walked to Aunt Sheila and she is sure their past home is gone. So sad for many. She is grateful they moved out of the forest. Love, Mom. Note: Aunt Sheila and Uncle Harry moved from California to Colorado after their home was seriously damaged in an earthquake in the 90s. Aunt Sheila said, "Before, we used to collect Lladro figurines. From now on, we're collecting stuffed animals." They built a big, beautiful house in the Black Forrest and only moved out to a senior community when Uncle Harry's Parkinson's made it too difficult for him to navigate the stairs. Turned out to be good timing.
