P.S. The purple glasses have didymium lenses. The glass has a "rare earth" mineral that filters out the yellow solar flare of the flame. This lets you see into the flame to see the small details of what you're working on. I wear them for lampwork beadmaking. And style.

"I came across your blog when I was researching on homemaking topics. I enjoyed reading the posts. I would also like to share with you the fact that I came across a very interesting site called www.homemakersalmanac.com or www.grihast.com. It seems to be a very ambitious compendium of all homemaking topics and deals with a variety of subjects that would be of immense interest to the homemaker. Do visit the site and read the articles. They are very informative. Registration is FREE. So do not hesitate to register. You will definitely enjoy yourself."
