Getting rid of stuff to make room for ... more stuff

Lisa writes: Craigslist is the new garage sale, and Freecycle is the new "leave it on the curb with a 'Free!' sign." Here are the latest items we've managed to de-kitsch ourselves of.

(Clockwise from top left, set of 4 Chinese red seat cushions, a banana hook, swag vintage 60s light fixture, faux Tiffany hall light fixture that would take no more than a 40 watt bulb, "the Space Table," yet another vintage light fixture, St. Gaudy-the-Leprechaun, and the curtain that covered the window of a door that we had replaced with a windowless door.)

Nice people will come to your house to collect these things off your porch, skipping and singing with joy at their good fortune.

Clearing out your space is a liberating feeling, isn't it? Even better when you can give it to someone who really wants it!
