Lisa's parents go to Tony Grove Lake
Lisa's mom writes: MISSED ME! BUT Christi got Dad really good with her snowball. Christi took on a hike today at Tony Grove Lake. It is a small, glacial lake in the Bear River Range in extreme northern Utah maybe 20 miles from Bear Lake (up a mountain).

The views were beautiful on the hike. Christi told us two weeks ago the Lake was frozen over and the trails were covered with snow. Spring finally came last week. I found one budding pussywillow bush/tree...love it.
Only patches of snow and there were all kinds of flowers making their
appearance. The temperature was lovely. We were glad to be out of the 90s.

Dad -- Following our leader.... When we got back in the car we discovered we were almost out of gas. It was closer to drive into Bear Lake than back to Logan. It was a good excuse to go to MERLIN'S Drive-In.

We just had a Merlin Burger. We were not up for the "Merlinator" this visit.
We ate and then found my fun cousin, Merlin, in his home behind the Drive Inn with his pets. We were greeted by his Pekingese doggie and then had a first. We met Karen and Merlin's two "designer" exotic Savannah cats. (This one is a bit shy - Merlin had Christi help grab him from under the bed). The internet told me there are fewer than 5,000 in the world. They had their beginnings when a Seval wild cat and short hair variety of tame cat was bred. Merlin said they don't shed. They like walking on a leash, and are smart like a dog, and like dogs.
We ended the day watching fireworks from USU on the hill behind Christi's home in Logan. There is more to come. GOD BLESS AMERICA!
