Washington State: Gravel pit park

Lisa writes: I was with my family in Washington State this weekend. On Thursday, we went to a nearby park that used to be a gravel quarry. It's now a big field, dog park, and golf course, but the trains still run through it about 20 times a day and some of the old concrete structures (stamped "1945") still stand like modern art.
Art with birds in it. The local mud swallows collect mouthfuls of mud to build their nests.

The swallows in action, and some good advice from Lori to the people standing below, looking up.
